"The Star-Telegram's T.R. Sullivan is reporting that Jon Daniels will be named General Manager of the Texas Rangers at 5:00 p.m. this afternoon. John Hart will become a consultant. Daniels, who is 28 years old, has been the Rangers assistant general manager for two years after coming over from the Colorado Rockies.
