You know...
I will likely never watch a beach volleyball game, but that blogad seriously kicks ass.  Jesus.  I'm not even in to chicks like that (tall, no hips, can kick my ass) but they really look good.

Yah
I'm right there with you, except that's pretty much my favorite.

So difficult to find tall women...I should go to more beach volleyball games.

Good luck on getting that mega-money contract next season, Kenny.

Raise your hand if...
you think the Rangers would have won this game if Laird had played...

by rjbrady on Sep 2, 2005 4:02 PM CDT up reply actions

Shortsighted thinking
Based on what Barajas did last night the Rangers probably would not have won if Laird had played.

Who cares?

Laird should still be playing everyday because he is better, younger, and cheaper.

I'd say "potentially better"
And an injury waiting to happen.

Huh?
How is Gerald Laird an "injury waiting to happen"?

Injury waiting to happen
Maybe it's due to the twitchiness....

From DMN Sports Blog
Diamond is his family's best friend

Top Rangers pitching prospect Thomas Diamond had several stops planned when he left the RoughRiders for Louisiana on Wednesday morning to help his parents move out of their house in the suburban New Orleans area.

His parents' house was not underwater yet. Several of Diamond's teammates said that, aside from coming to his parents' aid, he talked about using a boat he owns to help out friends and family who are having problems in the flooded-out city.

The Metairie native is expected to return to Frisco on Friday, so he'll still make his final start of the season Sunday afternoon.

Quote from ESPN Article
* That's Right (You're Still in Texas): Alfonso Soriano is still a Ranger, in case you hadn't noticed.

Yeah, you'll no doubt be seeing his name in Rumor Central again this winter. But indications are that he's likely to remain a Ranger next year, too. Nevertheless, an executive of one AL team can't figure out why he's still a Ranger.

"If they were thinking seriously about trading him, his value will never be higher than it was July 31," the exec said. "So now that means you know they're going to tender him [a contract for next year]. Which means they're going to tie up $10 million in a guy who's a defensive liability, and a guy whose offensive abilities aren't as great as his numbers. I don't get it. They need pitching. They had a chance to get pitching for him at the deadline. And he's still there. Makes no sense to me."

Rangers rotation '06
Who will it be?  I think we can all count out Rogers.  Why the hell did we let Drese go?  Thomson for that matter.  O.k. next year...Diamond, Danks, Loe, Dominguez, Rodriguez...What do you think.

um....
Where's Chris Young?! Also, it looks like we're going to get another couple of looks at Volquez, so it'll be interesting to see how he does. I liked his 97 mph fastball.

Drese
They let him go because he sucks.

Drese/Rotation '06
Yeah, Drese isn't that great. But still, you don't need a 3.50 era to win for the Rangers, a 6.50 will work on a good stretch with the bats lighting up.  Terrible on my behalf to leave off Young, I think he has the stuff to be a potential ace on our staff.  Volquez is exciting as well.  I honestly don't remember a time in the last ten years where there has been so much to get excited about as far as pitching is concerned for the Rangers.  And remember back when we had Brown (he's still a dick)and Jose Guzman and Bobby Witt were supposed to be the next two great young pitchers.
