Colts/Steelers game....

Well, its turned into an interesting game here at the end, and I feel bad for the Steeler fans.

I don't understand how they could rule that an incompletion, as it was clearly an interception.

Yes, I heard the explanation by the referee, but that was total BS.  The guy rolled, clearly had the ball, got up to run and THEN knocked the ball out of his hands with his knee.  Anybody knows that once he had possession and then rolled, it is a "catch/interception".

Well, God must be smiling on the Steelers after that fourth down sack.

Maybe justice will prevail.

EDIT:  OMFG!  What the hell??????  Maybe I spoke too soon.  I can't believe that fumble at the goalline.

wow
that was an amazing ending, i really feel for the colts, they really deserved to go to the superbowl this year, but i guess they just couldnt come up with that clutch win, and manning still holds the "cant win the big game" crown.

Why?
do they deserve to be in the SB this year?

i felt they were the best team the entire season, but the way they played today, i dont know.

Oh my.....
I wouldn't have been able to imagine the back and forth, roller coaster emotion that must have gone through all those players in the last 6-7 minutes of that game.  Geez Louise!

And of all kickers in the league to miss that kick....and by SOOOOOO much.....I never would have thought it would have been Vanderjagt.  I don't care what anybody says, he has been one of the best kickers in NFL history.

He looked like he was about to cry and was doing everything to hold it in.

Yowza!  What an ending.

I miss 1989. I miss 1995. Please make me miss another season in 2006.

One more thing....
How about the defensive play of the game by......

.....Ben Roethlisberger

Um...
No consideration for my Broncos?  After all, they knocked off the champs and get Pittsburgh in Denver next week.  That one will be good.

eh
id just rather see the steelers in than the bronco's

by rentz on Jan 15, 2006 3:55 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Well personally...
As I've made it obvious I am a Denver fan, I'd like to see Denver in, but next week should host a pretty good game between the two...  The better question is:  Can anyone in the NFC really compete with either of them?

3rd & 2
Why the heck didn't they run the ball? There was still about 30 secs and I think they had 2 time outs...

Cause
Manning wants the ball in his hands when a key play is needed. Which you want your best player to make plays but im not so sure Manning is that. It hard to argue againist Edge.

yep
Manning is a terrific regular season qb for a guy who's 3-6 now in the playoffs....It's way past time for him to step up when it counts.

Also, he sounded like a little biatch whining about his protection in the press conference after the game.  "I want to be a good teammate, BUT...."

STFU and produce when it counts.

Most Qb's
that win the big game in college tend to suck in the NFL like most of the Oklahoma Qb's do. Haha just jacking with you boomer.

LOL no offense taken
But Manning has a track record of not winning the big game no matter where he is at. People tend to make excusses for him when he doesn't win.

re:
People said Elway would never win the big game, either.

Funny how quickly your legacy can change.

I said he hasn't.

The big college game
People make a big issue of how he never beat Florida, but Tee Martin did the first year Peyton was gone...

Tennessee put up a ton of points in every game against Florida when Manning was QB.  Their defense didn't get the job done.

When Tee Martin finally led them to victory, Tennessee scored fewer points than they did in any of Manning's losses to Florida.  The difference was that their defense finally shut down Florida.

Is that really Peyton's fault?

by Adam J. Morris on Jan 15, 2006 7:25 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

That why
i hate to say some one never can win the big game. It's really hard to put the game on Manning but the way he does things with the Colts the blame should almost be on his shoulders. For some reason i got pretty to'd when he waved the punt team off the feild on that 4th down. People also say Dungy cant win the big game either.
