[OT] Hey Patrick Walz
I got to vote in the Canadian election today, turned 18 two weeks ago.
Hoping the Liberals stay in power.

I was wondering.
Frankly, as opposed as I am to the Bush Admin, I was getting a bit fed-up with Paul Martin's frequently hypocritical complaints about the US. Plus I've always thought you guys were getting screwed on lumber.
I'd still probably vote liberal because of how much I love gaydom, however...
WHich way is your riding going to go?
Plus aren't you in college yet?

Yup.
Of course the cost of buying a house is by far, the biggest beating. An attorney and an engineer shouldn't be wishing doom on all their homeowner friends so that a 3/2 could drop in price far enough to be affordable for less than $4500/mo.
So far, my top-5 and bottom-5 of the bay area:
- Restaurants. I didn't realize that I could go so long without really missing Tex-Mex.
- Extra-curricular activites. Skiing, hiking, biking...
- Moderate liberalism tinted with libertarianism is the rule in the South-Bay.
- Public Transportation. I take the train to work and enjoy it.
- Driving. The psycho drivers in California drive Civic's or BMW convertibles, not Hummers. That's less likely to kill you.
- Restaurants. No Alamo Drafthouse, Trudy's, or Salt Lick...
- Females. Married or not... the girls in Austin are wayy hotter.
- Communism is the rule the further north I go.
- Cost of living.
- Climate. Overrated. Give me a thundestorm and a few 104 degree days.

Been in Sacramento area since August
The best thing about the move was being able to double my square footage, and still pay less for the new house than what I sold my SJ townhouse for. Housing in the BA = clusterf@#&!

Walz
My riding will be close, but it'll probably go Conservative. It's a somewhat rural riding. I just don't want Harper in power, he's a holdover from the crazy right wing Canadian Alliance.
I'm going off to college probably next year. I'm majoring in Music (trombone performance, big money in that) either at McGill or U of T. I'm playing in the National Youth Band in May in Calgary. One day I'll win an orchestra audition and play trombone for a living if all goes according to plan.

Once again, the far left parties f everything up for the sane center-left party...

You don't have to read it

Waying my options
And I realize I don't have to read it, and you don't have to write it. All I'm saying is write it somewhere else so I don't accidently run across it again.
