Matsuzaka bid

PrintI guess the Red Sox have made the highest bid on Matsuzaka. I am really dissapointed about this if it is true. I thought we had a great shot at him and i thought he would be a huge addition to our rotation. Now, the Red Sox just get better and the Rangers stay the same for now.

they'd have a rotation of:
Scilling
DM
Beckett
Papelbon
Wakefield/Lester/Clement
they have a good bullpen and will sign a few free agents(lugo and drew are a few that i've heard) to bolster an already good offense
and no, i'm not a red sox fan, but i dont hate them
Boston
Beckett was pretty mediocre last season, and Schilling is 40.
Matsuzaka would be a big boost, but they are a team that gave up more runs than they scored in 2006.

beckett was pretty bad, but he's still only 25(maybe 26) and i think he'll improve
and even if schilling is 40, he can still pitch
variteck was also out for a while last year, so he'll be a boost

This is still just speculation
If it is the Sox, great. But I'll believe it when I see it confirmed by the AP.
