Who's Your Favorite Ranger (Current Roster)

Just wondering...who's your favorite Ranger.

Star-divide

When talking favorite players, I only casually look at stats.  Usually, there has to be more there.

So, vote for your favorite Ranger and you could also explain why...

Mark Teixeira
He is the best player on the team and whoever that guy happens to be is always my favorite player.
Give me a diablo sandwich, a Dr. Pepper, and make it quick, I'm in a god-damn hurry.

cause hes the best short stop in the game and a great top of the order hitter a great guy that bitches less than he should about how little money hes making.

Amen
Hank's been my favorite player for the last few years, but I'm with you on Michael.  He's a true team player and I think he's probably the player the Rangers can most ill afford to lose.

Mike Young
Gotta be Young, though I'm awfully fond of Kinsler and of Aki.

And if Jason Botts ever becomes a full-time Ranger he'd probably shoot up the list. I've got a sneerious man-crush on the big guy.

It was Dumpmaster
but he is gone.  So now:

Rick Bauer
C.J. Wilson
Michael Young
Frank Catalanotto

And when he is hitting opposing batters, it is by far Vicente Padilla.

Ronny
Ron Mahay - he really is a classy guy, got to get an autograph from him once in Surprise and he really was a nice guy and happy to give autographs.  Erasmo Ramirez is a good guy too.

Well, it used to be Young
When he was hitting 260 and Hart was always dissing him. But he's no fun, now, everybody loves him and knows how great he is.

So now I must say I loves me some Kinsler most of all. All you fellas keep away! Dibs on Ian!

As far as pitchers, its been Danks for a good while. I'll be a seriously depressed fan if we trade him. I like Danks so much I sometimes catch myself subconsciously rooting for Hurley to fail (which is really dumb, I know)...

Yep
He was my favorite for the longest time until everyone else started liking him.  I could always tell that he'd hit even when other people were crying for Catalanotto to be the starting 2B.  Never could've imagined Young would do what he has, though.  I figured he'd be a .290 hitter who got on base at a little better than league-average clip and hit 15 or 20 dingers along the way.

I don't really have a favorite player right now.  I guess Teixeira would come close.  He's already good but it's only a matter of time before the guy explodes, in my opinion.

My favorite Ranger of all time is Juan Gonzalez.  A very, very close second is Pudge.

Blalock
but Kinsler is gaining on him.  Teixeira and Young are better than both but you asked favorite.

Blalock
The swing, his build... I don't know, he just looks cool, kinda bad ass.

Michael Young. Followed by Tex - those are the two guys I worry about having to watch play for other teams one day.

There's a few other guys I really like - Kinsler, CJ, Padilla but mostly MY.

All time is Pudge though.

Botts
Saw him hit a monster homer at TBiA and have loved him ever since. Also he has the build of a Lumberjack which enables him to hit those moon shots!! Blalock is a badass also, just for his all star game HR a few years ago!

I saw Botts
strike out looking 3 times the one time he was in the lineup when I was there.

Young but
I will never forget watching an Astros/Rangers game in Houston as a road fan.  a couple of Ranger fans sat behind me and that was it.  it was my 6 month old son's first rangers game (got to start them early).  B/c my son was young, we chose high seats in right field to reduce the chance of a lot of balls coming up.

Hank didn't start because Pettite was pitching.  Bases were loaded and in comes Hank.  GRAND SALAMI off the wall near us.  Me and the three Ranger fans behind me were going nuts.  Son started to cry and one of the Astros fans turns around and tells him "it's because daddy is rooting for the wrong team."  there were actually pretty classy . . . for losers.

Long story short.  Hank is a close second.
