Vince Young...again

I don't know how he does it but that guy just manages to win. Crazy come back last week and then manages to beat the Colts this week....wow. Who knows if how good he will ever be but he just seems to have that knack for winning even though it isn't pretty sometimes.

Why?

Is it b/c vince single beat Leinart's team in the rose bowl or the fact that he is the better professional player? I don't understand how in the world you can say that. All he does is win games in fashions never seen before. And he doesn't say moronic things like "I still think we are the better team" after getting beat for the National Championship.

QB's

I was one who thought if a team drafted Vince to be quarterback would make a huge mistake. He has won me over and surprised the heck out of me. However I do think Leinert will be a better pro. It helps Leinert he is surrounded by great talent, except an offensive line, in Arizona.

There are two things I worry about Vince. 1. He will most likely have to learn a new offense next year since Norm Chow will most likely leave. 2. How will NFL defenses adapt to him the more they see him.

I would still not bet against Jay Cutler being better than both Leinert and Young.

None of that matters.. that was college, buddy. Leinart is the better QB, sure Vince has had a decent couple of games.. but come on... look at his numbers leading up to the Giants game.

Arizona changed their OC couple weeks ago too

So did Oakland. So did all the bad teams LOL. Kinda shows it's important!

You dont see defensive coordinators getting fired will-nilly in the middle of seasons..

Anyways, so Leinert might have a better chance now. But I dunno, beating Oakland doesn't show me anything.

VY......

His OL is MUCH better than Arizona's. Not even close actually. That matters more than skill players. VY also has a much better D getting him good field position.

You can't really compare the two right now. I tend to think VY will be mediocre at best. I have no idea about Mr. Hollywood.

VY's problem is he will have to make far more adjustments to his game to last long and consistently win. Not going to be easy. Mr. Hollywood is more plug and play.

The NFL will catch up to VY's game. Can he adjust?

I really doubt...

...that Young will have a ring in 5 years, or that Leinart is thinking about how good life used to be.

I also doubt that Young is fueled by anything I have to say.

It may be having to hear people in Houston putting him in the HOF before he'd ever played a pro snap that made me cynical, though.

What I don't understand

is why people who don't want to give Vince credit revert to the "Leinart is better" line. I know that Young got picked ahead of Leinart in the draft, but geez, can't you just be happy for the guy and be impressed that he's doing better than most of thought he could do at this point in his career? Why does it have to be turned into an argument, rather than just appreciating his improvement and realizing that Leinart is going to be really good too?
