Somthing a little funny.
This isnt a huge story or anything, but I was reading fox sports fantasy reports on who could be a bust this year. When I came across Brian Roberts. Just read.
Brian Roberts- After coming out of nowhere to set career-highs in batting average (.314), homers (18), and RBIs (73) last season, the big question is whether Roberts can do it again. His power surge was particularly surprising, as Roberts came into the season with just 12 career homers in nearly 400 big-league games. Eight of Roberts' 18 homers came in April last year and he hit a total of just three long balls in 248 at-bats after the All-Star break, suggesting that either the magic pixie dust wore off sometime in July or his deal with the devil expired after a 90-day trial period.
I just thought that was funny. 90-day free trial. lol

Roberts's power surge
"If they suddenly stop taking it they still have the muscle and bulk to hit homeruns."
ludicrous. why wouldn't everybody just take steroids for like a month, bulk up, and then not take them again? if you can't recover from muscle fatigue, in essence you are weaker. so, if i do somethign strenuous, like say play baseball, and then i do it again the next day, and the next day, and the next day, my strength is going to suffer without my steroids that help me recover quickly. I'm not going to be able to work out as much to keep my muscles big and strong and slowly that muscle strength, along with the muscle, is going to erode.
and i don't think roberts took steroids.

I can help a little on this
Both retain the body weight they had when loaded up, prior to the 'cut' cycle for shows. Both retain their natural genetic strength. Both get endurance sapped easily now, more so than before they cycled. Both quit, so they could have children (this was 9+ years ago). Both have an awful time losing weight, no matter how they diet or excercise. He has begun to have joint and bone rigidity problems, she has begun to have severe water retention problems (partly genetic). What appears to be muscle mass is in fact softer tissue than when they were in training. When they fast, they now lose pounds but not inches.
Oh ... they have two kids, both healthy (thank goodness for what was a longshot to ever happen).
