To this, I'm sure.  Danks is the youngest of the front line prospects.  Even if his stuff and command become super at Frisco this season, a late call up is the highest we should expect. I suppose if more than two of the season starting rotation go down, and Danks is untouchable at AA, you could see him sooner.  Right now, among the minor league pitchers who have a shot, he's probably a step behind Diamond and Volquez, and possibly Galaragga (obtained from Washington in the Soriano-Wilkerson deal).  Look for him to contend for a starting job in 2007.

2B is penciled to Ian Kinsler.  If he doesn't handle it in spring training, it's possible that D'Angelo Jiminez could get the job, as a placeholder or ??.  Mark DeRosa can also play 2B but is probably the general utility guy since he can fill in at four positions.

    Ninth overall pick. Thomas Diamond and Eric Hurley were 1st rounders the year after. All are highly regarded. He will probably get a September call-up, but he has to prove himself in AA.

now is way too soon to be thinking of calling him up, he was drafted right out of high school, if he has a good season in aa, and gets bumped to aaa, then he may have a shot at being a starter in 07, as it stands, i see him coming up no earlier than late 07 or start of 08.

2b is between kinsler,jimenez, and derosa.
if its up to buck, i think he may go derosa, but as it stands i feel its kinslers job to lose.
