Spring Training help
Fans I am looking to take my son to Suprise for our first ST experience. Any recomendations. My son is 8 and I am almost as mature as him :). Looking at the week of March 13th.
Hotels, food, other activities???
Does anyone know where the other facilities are that the Rangers will playing at that week. How much travel time should I expect?

I live in phoenix
Scottsdale stadium (Giants) is about an hour from Surpise.
Tempe Diablo Stadium (Angels) is about 45 minutes from Surpise
Tucson Electric Stadium (Sox) is three hours south of Phoenix/Surprise. (Unless you REALLY want your son to see the world series champs, I would not recommend driving all the way to Tucson for this game. It is simply too long of a drive for one game.)
Your best bet is to stay someplace like Peoria, because you and your son will enjoy being in the city more than being way out in Surprise. (Peoria is on the northwest outskirts of the phoenix area, and not too far away from Surprise.)The thing is, Surprise is a small retiree community, and there are not many restaurants and hotels. Plus, if you stay in Peoria, you are closer to Scottsdale and Tempe too.
Oh, and just so you know, good tickets in Surprise for the March 18th game may be hard to get because they are playing the D-backs.
