I started reading this....

earlier this morning and his gloating made me sick and I stopped......although I will say some of Bill Simmons stuff is good....at least for a sports fan living out of the state.

I am about to move to Boston to begin my graduate studies (Boston University is just a few metro stops from Frenway), but I fear baseball coverage of the BoSox. You can't deny they are good, but their fans think every pitching prospect will win a Cy Young, etc.

I once tried to convince some BoSox fans that, in the long-run, Andy Marte could have given much more to the Sox than Crisp ever can. What a waste of time.

As a Sox fan I take offense to that. Then I remember how other Red Sox fans act, and I retract my offended state.

They don't listen to me either, so I wouldn't feel too bad about it.

I am excited to be near Fenway. I've never been, and I look forward to making the most of my time in Boston. At least I will get to see the Rangers a few times this season.

Yankees fans

get some room to brag given their unprecedented history of success. The only thing about the Yankees that I find troubling is they don't win every year considering their $200M plus payroll. Yes that is more than 3 times what the rangers will spend this year!!!
Met's fans are like the little brother to Yankees fans. No matter what their team does it still won't compare to the Yanks.

ex. 11:39 -- Phil Nevin pops out. When you're traded straight up for Chan Ho Park, it's probably time to reevaluate things.
