Kinsler

Why did Kinsler not start last night?  I guess it is understandable if you don't think he can catch up to a 97 mph fastball, but I would hope that he can.  The kid got two starts and then sat against a righty in the 3rd game?  Maybe I'm missing something, and I've been known to be out of the loop before.

To me it looks like more of the Buck doesn't like playing young guys (IE guys w/o much PT).  My question is, how do you get experience when they won't let you play cause you have no experience?  I'd like to hear what ya'll think.

I think...
He just wanted to give Jimenez a start.

After today, everyone but Laird will have started a game.

I guess
I just don't like sitting a young strter when he neds to get used to ML pitching.  I actually may have liked to have seen him sat Teusday rather than last night.  I think it would have done him more good to see the 97 mph heat than a junkballer.  Then again, he did have a hit and a walk in the 1st game and you never want to sit a guy who has a little momentum, ala Blalock tonight.

Kinsler
He would've had a tough time last night.  He does need to get used to MLB, but I think it's best to hold him back against that kind of pitching.  At least for now.

prediction
Barring injury or him completely sucking (doubt that will happen), Kinsler will start about 120-130 games this year.

Let him lead-off.
Kinsler
Wilkerson
Young
Tex
Nevin
Blalock
Mench
Barajas
Nix

Wilky will be better served in the #2 slot.  Young and Tex are a natural 3 & 4. Nevin at 5 with a produce or perish attiude.  Protect Blalock with Mench and let Nix hit 9th and gain some confidence.

Ok
Yall are nuts.  He is a rookie.  He bats 7,8, or 9.

yes
and because Derosa is not a rookie, he bats 5th. That makes sense.

For the time being...
...I agree with you.  If he keeps this up, though, all bets are off.  But we should wait and see.
