A couple of troubling streaks
Phil Nevin is 2 for his last 27, with a walk.
During the three game stretch that Buck Showalter wanted to give him at DH, he was 2 for 14, although both hits were homers.
I have to think Jason Botts is going to start getting the majority of the DH ABs.
And, just as Mark Teixeira has started heating up, Michael Young has fallen into a slump...he's 1 for his last 19, and his OPS has dropped below 800...

Young Slump
May be just my perception, but a lot of his hitless string is from either producing weak ground balls or swinging at pitches low and away he'd usually take for balls. Being a mechanics freak, I've watched each at bat the last three games for anything tell-tale.
His stance, position, and swing plane all look OK (without comparison to previous video). The one anomaly is the whiffs on low and away. Last year, he was contacting those pitches before they got away from the strike zone.
Any chance he'd rachet back up simply by moving forward in the batters' box about four inches? That would make reaction to fastballs a little more difficult, but IMO he doesn't get a steady diet of fastballs anyway .. most pitchers won't even throw him one in the zone. And moving up toward the pitcher would increase his chances of solid contact on breaking stuff and two seamers before they become damaging.
Maybe useless info, but I wonder ....
