New poll up

I hate dumpmaster as much as anyone but he is playing well. I know it probably wont last but i hope it does so it gives Kinsler enough time to come back 100%. Im really curious to see Kinsler back in the lineup seems like it has been forever.

Well, right now it seems like the most lopsided poll yet.

If DeRosa is still hitting well by the time Kinsler gets back, give Kinsler 2B on a provisional basis and get DeRosa as many starts as possible at other positions.  If Kinsler suddenly can't hack it or something, DeRosa can play 2B or they can make a trade.  In any event, he's versatile enough to where it shouldn't be an either/or situation.

I actually like him, I think he is a very handy player to have and as long as he's hitting well I think we should exploit that by playing him either at 2nd, or at one of the other positions to give the other guys a day off on occassion.

The good thing with DeRosa, and I'm not under any illusions that this hot start will last, is that while he's riding this streak, it means that Kinsler will get time to heal up properly and that will benefit us down the road.

Once Kinsler is back and healthy, I think Kinsler gets his spot back (DeRosa said as much himself) and then you start using Derosa elsewhere.

I just think he gets a lot of stick because he's perceived as being one of Buck's boy's and sometimes people are maybe hyper-critical of him because of that. He is a good utility man who hasn't really let us down when he's been asked to do a job. It's certainly not his fault if he gets used in the wrong situation - what's he supposed to say? 'Sorry Buck, I don't think that match-up is good for the team so I'll just sit for this one, okay?'
