The games tomorrow

Per Richard Durrett, the first game tomorrow will be at 11 a.m. our time (Central time), with the second game starting at 4 p.m. our time.

Kevin Millwood is supposed to start the first, John Wasdin the second.

I would have thought that they'd use Wasdin first, then Millwood, since Millwood is more likely to go deeper and need less help from the pen, but I guess it doesn't really matter.  Josh Beckett is supposed to start game one for the BoSox, and David Pauley is supposed to start game 2.

Beckett has allowed 16 homers already this year, so hopefully the Rangers can get their home run stroke going against him.

What will be interesting to see is which game Gerald Laird catches, and which game Rod Barajas catches...Laird has been paired primarily with Millwood, but since he caught today, you'd think he'd get the start in the second game.

Durrett says both games will be on Fox Sports Southwest.

The reason
that I'd start Millwood in the first game is that it could always be the only one that gets played, as we've seen, although I haven't really looked at how much expectation of rain there is tomorrow.

The Irony of Baseball
Fans went into this season believing that Young and Tex were locks at getting clutch hits and worried about Blalock.  It is now the middle of June and we see that Young and Blalock are getting the clutch hits and we are worried about Tex.  You never know about this game.

wtf
It's way too early for baseball.  Yet here I am, awake.  It has a heroin-like grip on me.
