Whew ...
... I'm relieved.  I was just thinking to myself that we haven't seen enough of Barajas lately.

But at least Hairston's not playing.

by Athos on Jul 14, 2006 5:28 PM CDT reply actions

Can you ever
have enough Barajas? I think we ALL know the answer to that. I just hope he gets red hot for the next two weeks.
Pass the Buck, Fire Showalter!

by FirebatM3 on Jul 14, 2006 5:41 PM CDT up reply actions

I've got a fever....
And the only prescription is more Barajas.

well at least
mench and wilk are in there again

by Agreen07 on Jul 14, 2006 5:40 PM CDT reply actions

You'd hope
That after scoring 15 runs Buck wouldn't go screwing around with everything.

by Dustin on Jul 14, 2006 6:21 PM CDT up reply actions

23 pitches
through 3? WTF?!
Pass the Buck, Fire Showalter!

DeRo...

by jefrussell on Jul 14, 2006 6:52 PM CDT reply actions

I am Dero's biggest
fan...i have been saying it all year.  I have a canteen full of Dumpmaster Kool-Aid.

by Agreen07 on Jul 14, 2006 6:54 PM CDT up reply actions

I have a canteen
that I attach to my belt.  It is full of Dumpmaster Kool-Aid.  I walk around the streets of Dallas and Arlington, drinking from the canteen.

Well, I haven't been around the whole time, but I think that had to have been one of the finest exchanges ever to take place on this introweb net site.

Great
fundamentals. MY great job!

Sac Fly...
...good, smart freaking baseball...

by jefrussell on Jul 14, 2006 6:55 PM CDT reply actions

Perfect.
I love good baseball, and back-to-back sac flies is good baseball.

Glad tex got the sac fly on that
Didnt want to interupt his 3 homeruns in 3 abs yet.

walk and a sac fly is fine.

not that the 2-0 lead is bad.

btw i just got home and the newberg forum is down.  anyone know anything?

by DShep on Jul 14, 2006 6:57 PM CDT reply actions

If you look on the right
Apparently Newberg's forum is under some kind of...something.

Hahaha Mora

tejada
tejada is even worse then MY with these double plays.

by DShep on Jul 14, 2006 7:04 PM CDT reply actions

You know I think
Tejada is hitless against us this year.

by TexGoesYard on Jul 14, 2006 7:05 PM CDT reply actions

there have been a lot of
low throws to 1st tonight
Troy I.

by tdi1985 on Jul 14, 2006 7:07 PM CDT reply actions

Yep.
Good thing we have the best fielding first baseman in the league.

We're making
Kris Benson look like a decent pickup at the trade deadline!
Pass the Buck, Fire Showalter!

by FirebatM3 on Jul 14, 2006 7:09 PM CDT reply actions

No
and that's why our performance is so sad.
Pass the Buck, Fire Showalter!

by FirebatM3 on Jul 14, 2006 7:12 PM CDT up reply actions

Looking at Benson's
stats, he's a lot like Koronka. He'll go a good stretch pitching well, and then have a blow up game. This inflates his ERA.
Pass the Buck, Fire Showalter!

by FirebatM3 on Jul 14, 2006 7:23 PM CDT up reply actions

if we made a
trade for benson i would include in the deal that he has to divorce his wife.  sure she is hot but she has such baggage and her shtick is annoying.

by Agreen07 on Jul 14, 2006 7:12 PM CDT reply actions

I Kind of Dig Her...
...on Howard Stern...really haven't heard her anywhere else...

Brad Wilkerson Back...
...to doing what he does best...swinging and missing...

by jefrussell on Jul 14, 2006 7:12 PM CDT reply actions

20%
of Benson's pitches have been spent getting Brad Wilkerson out so far this game.

I really hoped that we would be able to get into their pen tonight.

Pass the Buck, Fire Showalter!

by FirebatM3 on Jul 14, 2006 7:13 PM CDT up reply actions

Kinsler...
...is so damn impressive...

by jefrussell on Jul 14, 2006 7:15 PM CDT reply actions

Great...
...outing...I don't know why, but I'm getting that feeling I usually develop in Spring Training...a feeling of hope...damn it's scary...

Josh Beckett
now has an ERA approaching 5 after giving up a HR to Mark Ellis.

GMJ...
...is a class act who I've always loved...he should be a priority sign this offseason...

by jefrussell on Jul 14, 2006 7:23 PM CDT reply actions

a class act
that can break up a double play
Troy I.

by tdi1985 on Jul 14, 2006 7:25 PM CDT up reply actions

not a great at bat by MY there
the only one that was might have been called a strike was the last pitch of the at bat.  Hope hes not going into a slump here.

i said on DBH i was fearing a let down game here, and the offense, while it did very well to scratch out those 2 runs, isnt exactly lighting it up.

But, Millwood is holding up his end of the bargain.

by DShep on Jul 14, 2006 7:28 PM CDT reply actions

Ugh
Benson sucks, so I should have known he'd pitch well tonight against the Rangers.

by jcir454 on Jul 14, 2006 7:29 PM CDT reply actions

Benson
He's not terrible, he just wasn't worth that contract he got.
You might think I'm crazy. I agree with you.

I starting to worry, he's looked pretty horrible tonight.

by jcir454 on Jul 14, 2006 7:45 PM CDT reply actions

when is blalock going to get going
this is getting tiring.

tex works a walk, 1 pitch later blalock erases it.

i mean come on, hes done NOTHING since april.

by DShep on Jul 14, 2006 7:45 PM CDT reply actions

He's done
pretty well before the ASB, I think he'll still come around. Maybe he needs to sit vs. Bedard tomorrow and get himself straightened out again.

The answer: No. Never.

I Imagine
Last thing you want to do is make your ace go too long on his first outing after a small injury. That's when small injuries become big injuries.

well, bauer didnt have much trouble.
so i guess it all worked out.  im fairly confident in coco-aki shutting them down for the 8th/9th.

but i hope the rangers can get some hits for some insurance, not to mention to entertain me.

Since the Rangers traded Juan Gonzalez to get him.

by Adam J. Morris on Jul 14, 2006 8:11 PM CDT up reply actions

I dont hate him
I dont care either way.

All I've said is he's fat and not all that valuable.

But I dont consider any closer all that valuable. The job is too easy.

I have a hard time trusting Cordero again though :/

Rethink...
...that...this is the Rangers' first look at him...this guy is middle-of-the-rotation...at best...Baltimore is going to make out like bandits when they unload this guy...

...would you rather have Eaton or Benson...I'll take Eaton every time...

Does he just pitch better when he knows he's on the block?

by jcir454 on Jul 14, 2006 8:20 PM CDT reply actions

That
