Game day chats

I don't want to come off sounding like a prude, but is there any chance we can clean up these gameday threads?  Now, I realize that tempers have been flaring these past two games, what with the 847 hit batters in this series, but it's getting tiresome reading what at times is just a series of F-bombs.

Taken in conjuction with the seemingly daily posting of teen actress pics, the site can sometimes come off as juvenile.  I think that we should really try to clean it up.

Can you provide some guidance?
Help us understand what words are acceptable, and which words are not?

I find....
"potty-mouth" offensive.  Makes me think of a dirty in the pee pee room.  Yucky.

Response
First off, I agree with you that the excessive use of profanity is unnecessary in most cases. That being said, I don't understand why you should have it your way. It's like those people who sit at the bar and then complain about the smokers around them -- hi, don't sit at the bar.
enough is enough. i've had it with these snakes.

yes
I agree, there isn't a need for as much profanity, but I'm not going to sit here and tell people what they should and shouldn't say in a post.
Pimps be damned, it's harder out here for a Rangers fan!

More pics by Sharky and Miles!
I want to see another pic war thread between them.

Btw, this site is sometimes juvenile.  I dont see anything wrong with it.

Hey
A little lack of sophistication never hurt anyone.

I dare you...
to not drop an F-bomb when the Rangers comically lose another game that is proving to be fate in this snake-bitten season!

Fuck it...
There aren't any little kids that post here.  For those of us who have no friends that are sports fans, this is the only place we can "get together with the guys" to talk baseball.
The future is an infinite succession of presence.

The language
I posted in a game day thread recently that the language was getting a little old. Surprisingly, I agree with Biff.
I don't think he is saying that there should be no F-Bombs. Things spoken in frustration are understandable. But it's the string of five posts in a row that have no message, just F***, in the subject line, after a second inning leadoff walk that can get old.
It's not a matter of being "with the guys" or anyone trying to control what you do. It's the fact that this is a public place that kids could come and other people are at that should cause you to watch what you say just a little bit. It just makes for a more welcoming atmosphere and could encourage more people to participate.
