Tom Hicks says Buck Showalter's job is safe.

Thank goodness...it is bad enough haven't to struggle by without the smartest baseball mind as the Ranger g.m. anymore.

Having to survive without Buckles as the manager?  Well, that would just be too much to take.

It is funny that Hicks says that the Rangers underachieved this year, and they pretty clearly had a disappointing year last year that cost the g.m. his job, and had an awful, very disappointing 2003 campaign...

And yet, Hicks continues to stand by his manager.

I don't get it.
