Pam Maples, 48, has been named managing editor for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. She was assistant managing editor for projects and investigations at the Dallas Morning News since 2000. Before that, she served as national editor and deputy national editor. Her husband, DMN sports columnist Gerry Fraley, will do freelance work from St. Louis. Both took buyouts from the DMN.

Forgot to add

that as much as we hate him, we have to give him props for being able to take a buyout then immediately land work elsewhere (Double if you factor in the wife). Fortunately if I'm ever in that situation I'd be able to take advantage of it like they did

the guy is leaving one of the biggest sports pages in the country. He SHOULD easily land a job in St. Louis. The freelance comment says he is still working on that if you ask me.
