Fan Fest this Weekend

For those of you in the DFW area, the Rangers will be having their Winter Carnival (now called Fan Fest) this Saturday at The Ballpark in Arlington. 9am - 5pm.

Weather permitting, you can run the bases and catch pop ups. If they announce who will be signing autographs, I'll post it here as well.

Admission is $5 unless you're under 3 feet tall. Season ticket holders get in free.

i wish they would tell us what players are coming

I REALLY need to know.

im going regardless, but if particular players are coming id take the time to get some certain things setup to get signed.

I'm definitly going. My family are huge supporters of the Rangers. My wife and I have our kitchen decorated in Rangers memorabilia. I printed some pictures I took last year of C.J. Wilson, Jose Rupe, John Rheinecker, Wes Littleton, and a few other I would like to get signed. Hopefully I'll be able to get them signed. Well hopefully those players will be there. lol. I've never been to Fan Fest, I've heard it get's a little crazy.

Baserunning

I did it a few years ago. It was pretty fun until I found out one of my friends took pictures. There was a kid with a disability (I think cerebral palsy) running in front of me, and I took it slow so as not to run him over.

My friend, OTOH, thought it would be fun to take a picture and caption it "Rob's so slow, he can't even outrun a cripple," then post it on our fantasy league's website. I took crap from my friends for a month...

went to that a few years ago

back when arod was still on the team. he started signing at like 10am and we got there 2 hours early thinking we could get him. turned out we wouldn't be able to get anywhre close, people were camping out and you had to have been there since like 3am to get him. ended up just getting at teh front of the line to get raffy later that afternoon. ended up getting tex in a really short line. not too many everyday fans knew who he was at that point. :)
