OT: Nutt to announce resignation

The Little Rock TV stations are reporting that Houston Nutt will announce his resignation tonight at 6:30PM.  If interested, the press conference can be viewed at www.katv.com

They also cite the Memphis Commercial-Appeal that he is already negotiating with Ole Miss to fill their coaching position.

Time for the winter meetings so we can stop talking about college football.

Ole Miss
Should never have fired Coach O. Nutt seems to be a lateral move.

Ole Miss
Has a lot of talent in a recruiting hot bed. Now whether they can do anything with it is another story.

Mississippi is a hotbed of talent?
Umm I disagree.  If you mean the SE then Ole Miss is no different than Arkansas.

South
The south in general is where the talent is located. That's what makes the SEC the deepest conference from top to bottom. A popular analogy last year when Ohio St. got destroyed by Florida was "it was b/c of SEC speed."  If you have a Rivals account you can see Ole Miss has been brought in Top 25 ish recruiting classes since Coach O has been there. 2004/2005 they finished 30th, 2006 16th, 2007 27th, and in 2008 they are currently 23rd.  What they do with the talent is another story. I'm just saying the talent is there.
