Rangers TV Ratings

Found some interesting information on MLB television ratings and added some additional research to determine that only 1 team had fewer home town fans watching its games than the Rangers in 2007.

The information I found was the average share per game for each team. Taking the average share and multiplying by the number of total cable/satellite households (these are cable only ratings) in the team's DMA yields the total number of households who watched on average.  For whatever reason, data wasn't available for Kansas City and Canada doesn't use the same metrics, so two teams have been omitted.

Here's the list in rank order by average number of households watching; the rank of the team's cable/satellite DMA is in ( ):

  1. NYYankees (1) = 315,673
