The world wide leaders Ranger's off-season preview. Amazingly they didn't start off with a Yankees-Red Sox off-season preview and then just devote small paragraphs to the rest of the league.

I don't think they follow the team so much saying our main need is pitching, and Bourbon is a TOP OF prospect so take it with a grain of salt...

Our pitching does need to get better

I know the Rangers need hitting but the pitcing isn't that great yes they do have good pitching prospects coming up but the staff of last year wasn't that good.

Look out Aggie this is the game coach Fran gets fired afterwards. Boomer Sooner!

There is no doubt are starting pitching needs to get better...I was just alluding to the fact I didn't think it is the #1 need when Carlos Silva is the best pitcher in the FA market.

Yes it is the #1 need, it's just not the #1 most easily fillable need.

Grammar Police

If you are trying to use the first person plural possessive pronoun in reference to the team, then the correct spelling is "our" not "are." I'm a Texan, so I definitely struggle pronouncing the two words differently, and I would assume that is why you keep spelling it "are."
You nor I are members of the Texas Rangers, therefore there is no need for you to use the pronoun at all. Instead you should say, "I'm of the opinion that OF help is the #1 need for the Texas Rangers." I used to do that in the past, but it helps you make a stronger argument to refer to the team in third person unless of course you are C.J. Wilson who has every right to use the personal pronouns.

Well

that's fine if you do. It's a defensible opinion.

But the reasoning you stated above was simply to say that it wasn't our greatest need cause Carlos Silva was the best available FA pitcher. To me that says, "It's not our biggest need, cause it's not a need that can be filled."
