Around SBN: The Worst Season of Francisco Rodriguez's Career Bar-right-arrows

Looking for dissatisfied stars - OT

And wannabe stars, and those who might be pretty near stars, but are in a bad place or find out that getting paid the big bucks in sometimes not a sufficient reason to be in and tolerate New York City (spelled out to try to rush to 300 characters, although this is not diary worthy, it just doesn't fit topically in any current thread).

Man, NY fans are a tough crowd.  From the writeup on the Mavs-Knicks game 12/10.

"The Knicks weren't the only New York athletes booed. John Maine and Oliver Perez, starting pitchers on the Mets team that blew a huge September lead and missed the playoffs, were booed when shown on the overhead scoreboard in the third quarter."

Oh Lordy
Are we back on Oliver Perez again?
Dwyade once challenged God to a game of 1-on-1, only to realize that not even God can play 1-on-1 against Himself.

No chance
Not from the Mets.  It's just another in the endless series of comments about NYC fans.  The title is my joke about my angst/rants about not getting him in 2003 or 2005.

I love Ollie
I'd love to find a way to get him on this team

Wait a second...
...did you choose to love Ollie?  Or did you just know it?

I kid, I kid.  :)

NYC sucks
"On-base percentage is great if you can score runs and do something with that on-base percentage," Baker said. "Clogging up the bases isn't that great to me."

Ollie
is a free agent after next season. He will be 27.

I'd love to see the Rangers offer him a Zambrano-esque contract.
