Around SBN: Bracketology 2012: Duke Finally Steps Up To The No. 1 Line

Clemens attempts to clear his name.

So now 2 weeks after the Mitchell Report Roger Clemens is finally speaking out on his steroid accusations. To prove that he's innocent he will be drilled by Mike Wallace of 60 Minutes in the coming weeks. If I were Roger Clemens and wanted to put these so called rumors to rest I'd of been strapped up to that polygraph about 2 weeks ago.
End of story!
It will be interesting to see what his answer will be if Mike Wallace brings up taking a polygraph. That will be the moment of truth. So if he were to say no to the polygraph or not pass it should be be allowed into the hall of fame? I say strap all the probable violators up.. guys like Bonds, Clemens, Sosa etc.. If they pass then hall of fame consideration if not then hall of shame.

Mike Wallace
is getting pretty creepy looking.  Being old is fine, but his makeup often just looks freakish.

I wish
congress would bring all of these guys and especially Clemens to testify under oath in the up coming hearings.  On top of that, one of the congressman really press him hard to a straight yes or no answer about his past use of PED's where he could either invoke the 5th amendment or be faced with purgery charges if it is later found out he is lying.  I tend to think he did use them, and is flat out lying to us all.

If I were Clemens
I wouldn't do anything.  He can't prove he didn't take them so he won't change the minds of the majority of people who think he did so what's the point?
Oh Man!!!!

If Clemens passed a polygraph...

I'd believe him and I think the majority of people who knew that he passed a polygraph would believe him. By not taking one that makes him look guilty. What does he have to lose at this point by taking one? That's if he's innocent. Failing it would only CONFIRM what we all think anyway.

Actually if he passed one
Most people would probably think "sure, his own guy gave him a poly and he passed, what a surprise". Even if the poly was completely independant, the average fan would never believe it was..

I'd like to give
Al "heated indoor pool" Gore a polygraph on global warming.

And slc ranger.

HA HA yeh I have a question for SLC..

do you REALLY believe the Rangers will be competetive in a year as you say?? Of course he'd try and wiggle off the hook as the needle went haywire. "I never said WHAT they'd be competetive for" SLC says.

i think we have a chance at being competitive
in a couple of years....maybe in a year, depending on the young guys and trades.....and i have no reason to lie.....

by slash on Dec 26, 2007 5:52 AM CST up reply actions

but Sharky if I were Clemens...

instead of blowing smoke up the  ass of Mike Wallace for a half hour I'd say let's show me hooked up to the polygraph for part of the show so I can prove once and for all that I am innocent and that the polygraph is not rigged.
I mean if you had tens of millions of dollars in endorsements, the hall of fame and your pride to gain why wouldn't you. Well I know why because he's most likely guilty. He looked a nervous wreck denying it yesterday. I bet that polygraph needle would of gone off the charts.

what if the polygraph screws up
and you have all of that on the line??

Mike Wallace
said that he is going to have a tough time since he is very good friends with Clems and with the Yankee organization.

I don't think he is the right guy to interview him, and quite frankley I think he is going to be easy on him.  I will be blunt about it and say he will be biased.  And quite frankley that doesn't make me happy.

Know why?  Because Roger Clemens called and made sure that Wallace would be the guy to interview him.  Does that not send up a red flag?  That Roger Clemens only wants to have a interview with THIS one guy?

Think about it.

I'd take the chance with polygraph..

being that the accuracy percentage is more than 95%. Certainly you're not saying that presumed guilty is better? Presumed guilty will cost Clemens the Hall of Fame and basically ruin him.
IF he didn't take HGH or the like he stands an extremely good chance of passing the test. Hey maybe he'll take it but I doubt it beause I have a feeling he's a big fat liar.

Clemens CHEATED just like Bonds did.

And, I feel insulted that Roger Clemens who went to my school the University of Texas and yet he is now one of the biggest cheaters in all of baseball

Yeah!
And I bet they all used Aspirin when they had headaches and antibiotics for bacterial infections, those cheating sons of bitches!  Furthermore, I bet they had the audacity to have SURGERY when they broke a bone!  Who needs to heal???  Those rotten scoundrels probably even lifted weights! Son of a bitch, I bet a few of them even tried some alcohol. All baseball players should stay the way they came out of the womb--brittle and in the fetal position.  God forbid they should try to improve themselves for our entertainment.  God forbid we should treat all enhancements or transgressions the same.
