PrintMark Prior has signed a one year deal with the San Diego Padres.
Not surprising...word had been that they were close, and if I were a pitcher wanting to restore my value on a one year deal, San Diego would be a team near the top of my list.

But there's no option year for the Pads, which has to be disappointing for them.
It's probably money down the toilet, but a 1mm gamble on a talent like Prior is a pretty good bet.
