PrintEvan Grant has a piece up at NBC Sports, listing the five free agent signings that he believes were the biggest bargains of the offseason.
How bad of an offseason was it, from a fiscal sanity standpoint? Popup is one of the five on the list.
No Ranger signings make the cut, although the honorable mention list includes the Cat and Eric Gagne (along with Mr. Intangibles, Darin Erstad).

I also like the Maddux deal. That would have been a nice deal for the Rangers. Fills up the rotation, and I would have to think if you can learn "how to pitch" from anyone that Maddux would be at the top of the list.
*facepalm*
sigh
I have the feeling idiot sportwriters are going to be calling him 'Dice-K' for the rest of his career.
