Shortstop Michael Young and the Rangers are in serious negotiations that are expected to lead to him signing a $80 million or $90 million deal with Texas by the end of spring training.

Young and the Rangers are expected to settle on one of two deals, one for $80 million over five years, or the other for $90 million over six years, SI.com has learned. People close to the situation said a couple hitches remain, but indications are still strong a deal will be worked out in coming weeks.
