Actually haven't seen this.

A few interesting things:
Volquez won't get paid very well at the minor league level.
Rupe, Guzman, Tejeda, Feldman all would (if they were at that level).

Other than that, all of the major league contracts are pretty much around league minimum.

Ive never really understood the dynamic of

these negotiations. Club makes offer. Player can either accept or give up baseball. I wonder what the players agents use to ratchet things up?

Jaramillo says it's all still there (with Sosa): the bat speed, the work ethic, the body, the will.

Those decisions

From what I understand, the team has a salary structure set up for non-arb-eligible guys, based on playing time and service time, with a little bit of leeway set up within those structures.

Laynce Nix

IIRC, he refused to sign a deal two years in a row, because he didn't like the amount of the raise being offered, resulting in the Rangers just re-newing his deal for no raise.
