Wright named 5th starter

Loe will either be in AAA or in the bullpen. Chen finishes in 3rd place and is probably trade bait before April 1st. He's preformed well enough that we may get something back for him, but I think his non-guaranteed contract will convince teams to wait on him.

Ugh.

Oh well
We'll see Loe in the 5th spot pretty soon anyway is my bet, when Wright falls off a cliff as I expect him to.  I doubt we'll get anything for Chen.

I was going to say...
I doubt anyone will give us anything for Chen, when they know we're going to have to release him in the end.

so
when i heard that loe was being held out of his start i automatically assumed this.

but then i heard that he wanted to pitch and the rangers held him out and i figured that wouldn't count against him.  guess i was wrong.

maybe its just a roster move having to do with options.

my guess
is its mostly because he has options, and if wright isnt on the team by the 28th he has an opt out clause.

Also, pretty smart forward thinking........
we'll probably need the 6th (?) starter and by not making this move we'd be looking at Koronka, Rheinecker, or worse because both Wright (Mets) and Chen (?) would be gone.

It may suck for Cam for a few weeks or so, but a pretty saavy move for the team.

OK, I've been out of pocket for a week
Why is Volquez starting in Bakersfield?
I like camo because it makes you blend in. But when you're not in the woods, it does the opposite. Its like, hey, there's an asshole.

The Halladay Effect
Maybe knock some sense into him, I guess?

Wait
Four or five more days.  Wright is still going to pitch again, as is Loe.  I get a feeling this is a feint so Wright doesn't opt out.  Even if it's one that lasts 30+ days.  Just nope neither gets injured in these next few outings.

But if it's a tactic...
Why choose Wright over Chen?

Durned
If I know.  Maybe the three HR all in a wad, maybe a renegotiated deal with Chen to bide a few weeks in OKC until someone is needed. It was just a thought (lateral thinking type).

or
perhaps there have been more teems vocal about their interest in wright if he opt's out(like the mets) and there has been less interest in chen. just a thought.
