In summation, the Astros considered two three-team deals at the deadline last year, one involving the Mets/Orioles and one involving the Rangers/Orioles. The Rangers would have parted with John Danks, Thomas Diamond, and the Hammer (to the Orioles) and received Roy Oswalt and Morgan Ensberg. The Astros would have received Tejada. The Rangers easily would have gotten the best out of that deal. No wonder it didn't come to fruition.
