Around SBN: Are The Orioles Bad Or Unlucky With Their Young Pitching?

Some quick linkaliciousness

A few quick things...

Michael Irvin will be throwing out the first pitch for the Rangers home opener.  I like this...I'm a Michael Irvin fan...

Dave Sessions has some bloggy questions coming out camp...

Joe Sheehan's chat session is up, and includes a couple of questions on why he thinks the Rangers will be better than most other folks do...

BP's Prospectus Hit List is up, with the Rangers coming in at #14 and Jay Jaffe saying he thinks the rotation after Millwood and Padilla will be ugly.

And Jamey Newberg has posted the transcript of the Victor Rojas chat session from last week...

Update [2007-4-2 19:8:47 by Adam J. Morris]: -- And I just saw something that amused me...for Opening Day, Phil Garner is hitting Craig Biggio (.246/.306/.422 in 2006) and Adam Everett (.239/.290/.352) #1 and #2 in the Astros lineup...

Yep, that's an offense that will go far...

Rangers Home opener
I'm going to my first Rangers game in Arlington.  Before I take off tomorrow night, I thought I'd check to see if anyone has any recommendations on pre-game post-game things/bars/activities/etc. I'm also going to a Frisco game on Sat, so recommendations for that would be appreciated as well.
Well Mr. Burns had done it. The power plant had won it. With Roger Clemens clucking all the while.

I will...
be at the park at 10 or so.  Some work friends are going to be drinking beer and barbecuing in a grassy area near parking lot A.

Incomplete
For example, Johnny Washington was released last week.  Plus, I'd guess Chris Davis will be at Bakersfield since he's not in Clinton.

ack!
What the hell, Scrapiron? Should be:

Burke
MoBerg
Fat Elvis
Caballo
Luke Scott
Biggio
Ausmus
Whoever is pitching
Everett

The good times are killing me.

Sheehan
Hit a home run with the 'pitching is fundamentally different now' piece.  If you didn't read it, it's at the bottom of his chat transcript.

Help?
So. I'm sorry to post this selfish need, but...I live in Austin, and I have to leave for the night. I'm panicking!

No channel or DVR menu shows the Rangers being on!

The paper says Channel 77. However, that channel makes no mention of baseball on the menu.

ESPN 2 shows "ESPNEWS" until midnight (yet mentions all other games played today accurately, even tonight's Astros game).

What the heck can I DVR? Is ESPNews listed because Ch. 77 pre-empts ESPN? Or something like that?

I apologize in advance, if someone knows a decent solution, I appreciate-it, and I'll need it soon!

Thanks.

Channel 77
It is on that channel. I called Time Warner cable to confirm. The games these next two days are on channel 77 I believe.

I'm recording channel 77 on my dvr from 9-12:30

Astros Lineup
It doesn't really matter when Roy O is going 7 innings, no runs, 3 hits on 80 pitches.

He's pretty good.

Is there a reason Ausmus isn't hitting cleanup?
yeah, Oswalt is having a nice game.

I think the Stro's are the only team in the league that can give the A's a run for worst offense in baseball

By the way, a nice line by King Felix so far tonight, albeit it, against those same A's:

8 IP, 3 hits, 2 walks, no runs, 12 K's

and he just turned it over to Putz to close em out.
