Scott Lucas has posted a striking graph charting the rolling 27-game OPS of Michael Young going back to 2003.
Although I realize all players go through ups and downs from month to month, my first reaction was shock at the violent peaks and valleys depicted. My second reaction was to think "How common is this?" Do all players, or most players go through this wide a variance from month to month? Anyone know of a study of this data? Scott, have you done similar graphs for Teixeira or others for comparison.
Anyway, interesting post, thanks for that.
