CJ Wilson (BGL) interview at mlb.com

Original title changed so that no one will feel bad that they were confused as to the subject and take that out on me From C.J. Wilson's MySpace blog

BGL says he's doing a live on-air interview around noon DFW time at mlb.com in case anyone besides myself is interested...

Gay not gay?
Gay/not gay?

Referring to C.J. Wilson by an abbreviation of a nickname that he gave himself.  I'm a die hard Ranger fan and I had no idea who you were talking about at first.

blue glove lefty
Wilson has been posting here at LSB by that name for some time now, and many here would recognize the bgl moniker.  Still, I'd use his last name when posting a diary.

umm... his name is in the first sentence
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.

by WhipSmart on May 8, 2007 8:11 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

umm...but it's not in the title to the diary
which is all you see on the right side of the web page.

by t ball on May 8, 2007 9:40 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

and it takes you two seconds to click on it
and see what's inside.  It is no more cryptic than having a diary title like "Tex" or "Good ESPN Game".
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.

Relax
I'm saying what I would do and why, I'm not saying that anyone else would be a complete ass to do it any other way.

by t ball on May 8, 2007 9:52 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

contrary to popular belief
I'm not the one worked up about this.. lol...  and I just don't understand why everyone else is.
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.

can't we all just get along!?
"Pimps be damned, it's harder out here for a Rangers fan!" "If you don't throw strikes first, you're last."

by rentz on May 8, 2007 9:56 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

not worked up either really
I think it's funny that yet another diary has gone off on a tangent unrelated to the original post.

by t ball on May 8, 2007 9:57 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Lol
now I see you've changed the title, I've made a difference in the world today!  I hope this is not the high point of my day...

by t ball on May 8, 2007 9:59 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

you have made a significant impact on my life
I shall never forget you...
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.

This comment
and Ed Coffin's below made me laugh hard.  It's been a slow day.

What does...
...homosexuality have anything to do with this diary?

by RangerMoto on May 8, 2007 8:24 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

gay or not gay
It's something a local radio show does once a week... they take a scenario and decide if it's gay or not gay, though they make it clear that it isn't necessarily a homosexual act, etc.

It's usually things like say.... one time 2 guys who were roomates bought a tanning bed together, or things like watching a chick flick and enjoying it.
It's far too early for me to think of more examples

"Pimps be damned, it's harder out here for a Rangers fan!" "If you don't throw strikes first, you're last."

by rentz on May 8, 2007 8:28 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Those were good examples, lol
Yeah, I was referring to the Bob and Dan bit, which has gone downhill since Donovan came on board.

by rangeressary on May 8, 2007 8:30 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

bob and dan
I very rarely get to listen to them anymore now that I work a dayjob and we can't stream audio/video and the radio reception stinks in this building

I know blueglovelefty is CJ Wilson
but to have the title BGL interview at mlb.com involves abbreviating a nickname for CJ that only some would know...clear sign of having a man crush in my opinion.

by rangeressary on May 8, 2007 8:29 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

or simply shortening the diary title
but hey, you know more about man-crushes than me, it seems...
Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.

Haha, nice retort
Not a bad comeback whip.  I didn't mean anything bad by it, just teasing with you.  Don't let it bother you or take offense.

I just saw that title and thought, "who is BGL?"  Then I read your post and thought about it for a minute still without realizing who you meant.  After going to CJ's myspace, I realized what BGL stood for.  I have heard him call himself blueglovelefty (obviously a couple times on this site), but have never read anyone abbreviating it as BGL.

Hey man, most of us do seemingly effeminate things in the name of sports.  I for one used to sit in left field at every game I went to just to be closer to Rusty Greer who was my favorite player as a teenager.  Now that trumps any apparent man crush that you may have with CJ, so don't let my teasing your abbreviation bother you in the least.

by rangeressary on May 8, 2007 9:38 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I just used it mainly
because he posts here with that nickname and it gets used by myself and many others during game-day threads.

most of my man-crushes are musical, anyway...

Grieve: The Yanks have struggled so far. - Lewin: Yeah, cry me a bag of money.

by WhipSmart on May 8, 2007 9:43 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Heh ... I just wasted
Four minutes and eighteen seconds reading this diary.  I blame myself.
Time does funny things. The worst of which is, it keeps moving when you don't.
