what players will be gone in september?

we all talk about trade rumors and who might or might not go. but who do you think should go, guys we could deal for young prospects that would help us in a couple years.
I think guys we could deal are of course Tex, Loften, and Aki. Im starting to come around on maybe signing gagne to a longer deal. Not that i think we shoudl do this but what about Cat, hitting up around .230 and got 2 years left maybe if he stays hot and gets up around .250 or .260 do you tink anybody would make a call for him?

Gone...
Tex (although talk has died down while on DL)
Lofton
Gagne (possibly re-signing this offseason)
Aki (If a good deal comes along, he could stay)
Sosa (may keep for the side show/ticket sales)

My two cents
Teix - gone as long as we get value

Lofton - get whatever you can

Aki - at 35 (or however old he is) he isn't the future so get what you can

Gagne - if they really want to keep him they need to sign a longer deal before the trade deadline if a deal can't be done trade him for whatever you can get

Sosa - I doubt anyone wants him but if you get offered anything above used chewing gum, pull the trigger

Wilkerson - see Sosa  (I'm not interested in him playing first in Teix's absence next year)

Any of the rest of the bullpen, especially Beniot or Frankie, as long as the value is there.

Guys I would keep:

Young - I'm still in his corner especially since if he was traded we'd have to eat some of the salary

Blalock - no reason to sell low on guy who was showing 'decent' signs of rebounding before injury plus he's still reasonably young

The entire pitching staff unless you get blown away by a deal for Padilla or Millwood (which considering thier seasons is highly unlikely)

Having Young in the conversation
is a waste of typing.  He is pretty much going to be a Ranger for Life because of his contract, both the size and the no trade clauses.

I'm with TRballer
across the board. Get rid of everyone that won't be here in 2009...now.
Hit me in the eye...maybe I can see better.

thats alot of guys
i thnik the next couple weeks is very important to how quick we turn this around. we get value from most of those guys and when i say most of those guys i mean tex aki loften we could make big improvements on where were going the next few years
