Izturis traded to Pirates

Cesar Izturis was traded to the Pirates for a player to be named. What ever happened to him? I remember a couple years ago when he was one of the top shortstops.

Hendry is my nominee for worst GM in baseball. Izturis sucks. This basically means he traded Greg Maddux for a nothing PTBNL last year.

Heep Sop Choi for Derek Lee was hardly bust for Hendry. Same thing for when he brought in Armas Ramirez (for Bobby Hill), and he also brought in Lofton that season as well. He managed to flip Hundley for Karos and Grudzielanek. I'd also say that he won the Damian Miller for Michael Barrett deal.

You can point to some bad deals as well. However, he has had some great success, which hardly means he is the worst GM in the game.

Cubs

Like you said, there are many bad trades and bad free agent signings. The Cubs are the largest market team in the worst division in baseball. The Cubs are 403-414 with Hendry as GM.
