Hurley and Galarraga 7/26
Galaragga: 4 IP, 1 ER, 5 H, 1 BB, 3 K
Hurley: 4 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 2 BB, 5 K
Hurley just gave up a homer for run #2.
Oklahoma's up 12-2, and all 12 runs have come via the homer. Diaz has two and Cruz has one. Diaz and Cruz both hit grand slams.
Hurley's working fast and hitting 95+.

Check out
It at least is worth comparison, given the same competition for Cruz and Botts. Both made some at-bat changes when sent down. Botts is a little larger sample.

Hurley
5IP 2H 2R 2BB 6K's ERA: 3.21
The first hit was a poke single. The second was a HR. Only the 2nd he has given up in 6 AAA starts. It was a 3-2 count in a 12-1 game. He wasn't going to walk him. I tip my hat to him.
Was hitting 95 many times in the 4th and 5th.
They keep yanking him in each one of his starts at 90 pitches. Wonder if that is for a future call up and not wanting to burn him out in AAA or just saving his arm in general. He consistently pitches in the 6th and 7th innings.
This kid is going to be a stud!

no need in him going further
Good job Hurley. Keep it up and maybe we'll see you come spring training mext year. No need to rush Eric Hurley. Leave him at Oklahoma till next year.

You bring up a good point...
I'm all for keeping him in AAA this year. We'll see plenty of him in Arlington next season. No need to rush if we don't have to.
