best case scenario for 2009

these trades rumors rae killing me lately. tex for salty, harrison, and andrus i do. laird and beniot for pie i do. gagne for kennedy i do.

lineup in 2009

C-salty
1st-Gold maybe? any other thoughts?
2nd-kinsler
3rd-blalock
ss-young
lf-byrd
cf-pie
rf-cruz,diaz

rotation
1-millwood, think that would be his last year
2-mccarthy
3-hurley, i think he'll be very good at this point
4-harrison, braves scouts think he is the best lefty to come around since glavine
5-loe, if he keeps up his performance he could be higher,

other options have to be guys like volquez, diamond, galarraga, mendoze(most likely in bullpen)

bullpen- frankie, wilson, littleton,maybe padilla

plus any FA's we sign which most likely wont be anything to big

Of course alot of things have to  happen but i dont think any of the trades above are to much of a stretch...let me know your thoughts?

i dont know if i trade
gagne for kennedy straight up. You look at the trade the padres pulled of for scott linebrink. Shouldn't gagne fatch at least that if not more.

I have a hard time believing ian kennedy is that much better than will inman. He and Ian both started this year in high A, and inman was 2 years younger, and you could argue he also had the better stats.

Apparently (just like all rumors)...
The rangers are interested in Melky Cabrera.  The problem is that there seems to be a pretty wide gap between Chamberlain and Hughes and the rest of the Yankees system.   And as we all know Hughes and Chamberlain are off limits.  Wouldnt it be nice if the Yanks' bullpen blew a lead or two the next few nights?  ha ha

thats a pretty damn good lineup ..
Wes..especially if the Rangers get a nice alternative for first base..maybe via a Laird trade or whoever..and I have a feeling Cruz is going to get it together and be a slugger by then.
Do you think they may keep Laird and put Salty at first?
0dds of being able to trade whiffy whifferson by Gil Lebreton "1000 to 1 - Good Luck Brother!"
