Just posting this becuse I know the Yanks had interest in both wheeler and Wigginton, and I think a few of the back up plan's are Gagne and Tex

So it probably increases yanks interest in those guys.

Two years ago, when the Rangers were trying to unload Soriano and the Astros had such a strong pitching staff but no one to protect Berkman, Purpupa refused to give up anything of value for Soriano, and when they went to the series, Berkman got walked half the time. Then, this past offseason, they give up a package of players we would have jumped at for one year of middling Jason Jennings.

Pathetic.
