Teixeira Game Thread

I just thought I would go ahead and get this up. I figured now that he is traded we can all start kicking ourselves in the crotch every time Tex hits a home run, hits a double, hits a sac fly, etc. It is not like we are going to be happy with the trade. I would bet money that Jared does not even put a ball in play today. :)

Teixeira was the best player in the deal.

I also have no doubts that Teixeira would have been on another team in 2009 anyway, and will play for a contract that will be a burden for the team that has him.

Yes

I agree. It's not like the Danks trade or the CY trade, which involved cheap pitching. We need this deal. All prospects are a risk, and Teix is damn-close to riskless, but frankly, we need numbers at all positions. We need several good cheap players. Not a few expensive ones we can fill-in later.

I undestand

the need to make this deal. My point is simply to show how much I dislike all the threads on what former Rangers did that particular night. I know they coming for Tex and thought I would jump out there first. Who knows, maybe people will not post them just make me look wrong. If that is the case, it was a small price to pay.
