Post-ASB rotation

T.R. Sullivan has the info on how the Rangers are setting up their rotation once play resumes following the All Star Break:

Kameron Loe is being promoted in the Rangers rotation and will be their No. 2 starter when they open the second half.

The Rangers have set their second half rotation and Kevin Millwood will pitch on Friday against the Angels. He'll be followed in the Angels series by Loe and Brandon McCarthy. Jamey Wright, Robinson Tejeda and Millwood will pitch in three-game series against the Oakland Athletics.

"We're just trying to keep as many guys in line as possible," Washington said. "Kam Loe has pitched well enough to move up to where he is."

The Angels will pitch Kelvim Escobar, Jered Weaver and John Lackey in the series.

Loe
this is an unbelievable story. I can't remember a young, nonpower pitcher having this kind of midseason turnaround. If he were to keep pitching well, it's the biggest story of this season for us.

Pretty much what Mike said
O'Golnick, that is.

I like that idea, Kameron deserves it. If he fails, he'll slide further down the rota.

But....we all know this young man's moxie. I highly doubt he will fail.

Is he the ideal #2? No. Could he fit in as a #2 in this rotation? Perfectly.

I will always wish him all the best. He is a living demonstration of "Will over (current) Reality".

At the beginning of the season...
After Jamey Wright was named the fifth starter, did anyone think that Kam Loe would lead the team in ERA and innings at this point?  I didn't, that's for sure.  In his last five starts, he's far exceeded any expectations I've had for him.

rediculous
I only hope he can finish the year with a bang and spread some of that magic to Tejeda.  If not, I wouldn't mind seeing healthy Millwood and Padilla with McCarthy and Kam Loe lead our rotation...but what happens with that 5th spot?

Tejeda isn't looking so hot - Volquez? Will Hurley be ready? Is Rupe ever going to come back?

"No, Donny, these men are nihilists, there's nothing to be afraid of."
