Per Galloway Botts is DH tonight

Assuming Sammy grabs a seat, Salty plays at first and Gabbard is inserted into the rotation. If we're lucky he'll have the same kind of production that Cruz is giving us.

So far this is turning out to be a great week!

i have a question about murphy?

i know we werent impressed with him, but he seems to be a way better looking prospect then say brandon boggs and we all love us some boggs on this site, so doesnt murphy have to get a shot sometime this year in either CF or LF?

isnt murphy younger than boggs and in triple-a putting up pretty much the same numbers as boggs in double-a...hes already had some major league AB's and more of a safe bet to be better than boggs

I think so

but not everyone does I guess. Boggs looks to be at least a good 4th outfielder right now, and possibly a decent starter. Murphy is likely to be a good option for 4th outfielder for a few years, so he has some value.

I don't like

how they brought Botts up. Anyone else read TR's column this morning? They hid him in the hotel so that they could tell Sammy??? And they had Metcalf out there for BP even though they knew they were sending him down??? That's a bit disappointing to me.
