2 hr and a double in a game and a half
got to admit, i missed tex a lot more after watching him round the bases on that shot and with other announcers being happy about it and such.

sigh.

yeah, he is doing great, and will do great, and can anybody blame him for wanting to get on a team that knows how to win, and wants to win, and CARES about winning, something pretty lacking in Texas.  He could be a future HOF!

What needs to stop is diaries like this.
It's over.  He's a very good player and he's a Brave.  That's the end of it.

by Athos on Aug 2, 2007 8:22 PM CDT reply actions

its been 2 days.
its not like this is a year and a half later like with CY.

by DShep on Aug 2, 2007 8:51 PM CDT up reply actions

Get used to it
Its not like a danks trade where we dont know the outcome.

We KNEW what we were trading away, and it would of been useless to keep him.

We would be watching him do this anyway, just next year instead of this year.

What a prick
That best he could do for the Rangers during his last days was a couple of singles.  He even took his double to the opposite field.  As in, "I'm now with the Braves on national tv, maybe I should do something."  Of course, he was hitting against Woody Williams.

Hey Teix....
How do you like that Braves pitching staff?  Lamb just tied the game with a granny, 9-9.

Mike Lamb...
... losing that guy just keeps coming back to haunt us.  GRRRR!!!

Blown leads - bad pitching - bad defense
Tex never changed teams, apparently.

What is Bobby Cox doing to Ron Mahay? When was the last time he threw 50+ pitches in a game?

Diaz 2 R HR
to tie it up again in the 12th off of Brad Lidge. If people aren't careful, he might develop a confidence issue.
Well Mr. Burns had done it. The power plant had won it. With Roger Clemens clucking all the while.

This game is going to go on forever.

just as I say that
...a pitcher drives in the go ahead run for HOU.  But the middle of the order's coming up for ATL.  I bet they tie it.  We'll wake up tomorrow morning and they'll be playing in the top of the 39th or something.

Thats a bad way to lose
but they have Tex and chipper coming up

by coolaid on Aug 2, 2007 11:29 PM CDT up reply actions

you give chipper-tex-jones 3 chances
to win a game in extra innings...  theyve got to take advantage of it once...

if diaz can get on base here.

by DShep on Aug 2, 2007 11:31 PM CDT up reply actions

Chipper is un-clutch
now tex is the last out and can only tie it.

It seemed
like Chipper wasn't even trying

Braves
Do the Braves always have a microphone so close to the dugout? You could hear Cox the whole time, and sometimes they cut the microphone off too late for the expletives - kind of funny. And you could definitely lip-read a lot of f-bombs.

YES
that makes it sweeter

To everybody: I dont want him back, just dont really like the guy anymore, idk its confusing, just bitter when he hits 2 HR in a game and a half....but this is great

by slash on Aug 3, 2007 12:17 AM CDT up reply actions

By the way
the definitive answer on the Teix issue is this: it's fine to talk about him. I'm watching the game now (he's at bat; just got the last out), and that's cool. He's someone we know everything about. It's also fine to be happy about the trade (I am) because it should be good for both clubs (GodIhopesoGodIhopesoGodIhopeso). I hate the Braves, but I'm watching them more now.

This isn't the Hafner/Soriano/Chris Young thing. He just left. Nothing wrong with following him. Just don't update every damn bat. We all have TBS. If we're curious, we'll watch.

Well Mr. Burns had done it. The power plant had won it. With Roger Clemens clucking all the while.

by WyoRanger on Aug 2, 2007 11:38 PM CDT reply actions

Never mind
While I drafted that comment, people weren't updating every at bat, but every damn pitch. Freaking stalkers.
