is NOT done for the rest of the season. Give me a break. The guess you have is wrong. He'll miss one maybe two starts at the most. The Padres know they need CY in September in order to make the playoffs. I'm sure Chris Young will be fine.

I dunno what to think of our hitters at times.
Botts up 2-0.  Get two straight below average fastballs right down the middle of the plate and cant even put them in play.  Luckily he got a call from the ump to walk.

Cruz up 2-0 and swings at an offspeed pitch in the dirt.  Then proceed to strikeout.

I know im nitpicking after a 20 run game but stuff like that really discourages me.  At least Laird went opposite field for a hit.

He didn't hit that well in AA.

He was awful in AAA.

And he hasn't hit that well in the majors.

I'm not sure why you'd make him your everyday 3B right now.

I know he has not hit well in the minors but maybe he is just one of those guys that never hits minor league pitching and gets to the majors and has a decent caree...he would only take AB's from Vasquez and Laird

and I'm not much of a stats guy but I'm sure it has happened with a few guys, don't get me wrong I don't know if he will be any good or not but we know he can field (HA HA, as he makes a error) and it's only a month worth of AB's and there is no reason to risk Hanks shoulder the rest of the way....I may be wrong would not be the first time

but he'd be better than Vasquez till Blalock gets back, more exciting to see what Metcalf does instead of what Vasquez does now that He's in the big leagues......I think he should still be getting regular AB's in AAA, but hell the kid has done good today, but so has Vasquez.....but if anything he's better than Melhuse, and we'd solidify a top 5 pick lol

id be pretty upset if i was the pitcher
borderline calls but it seems like the pitcher usually gets at least a couple of tem.

i looked at the previous 20 or so posts before yours, and almost all of it is about the game.

talking about the double header record is certainly part of this game.

but even if we were talking 100% about 30-3... uh, hello, this is a dead season that has been TERRIBLE the past few games with getting completely beat down by pitchers, and then we set a record.  thats worth of a weeks discussion, let alone talking about it a couple hours later.

hes been completely solid since his DL stint, and working with was during that time gives some reasoning.
