Loe placed on DL

TORONTO -- A back injury will cause right-hander Kameron Loe to miss Saturday's start against the Blue Jays.

According to the texas rangers website, Kam Loe will go on the DL, and miss at least two starts with a sore back.

Hope it's nothing too serious.

Mike Wood
"Right-hander Mike Wood has been recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma to make Saturday's start. Wood made four starts for the Rangers earlier this season, going 1-1 with a 5.49 ERA. While pitching for Oklahoma, Wood went 9-3 with a 3.23 ERA in 16 games."

2 days rest
wow, that is a pretty tough circumstance to get a start.  Hope he makes the best of it, he needs to take advantage of this chance, because there are other options and he might not get a better opportunity.
Me and Billy the Kid never got along. I didn't like the way he cocked his hat and he wore his gun all wrong.

Well
that sucks. But so has Kam his last coupla starts.

Go Woody!

You're hijacking the thread and being repetitive. Move forward.

ouch
mike wood deserves a shot though.

who is next in line after wood, volquez?

in case we see another millwood DL stint.

Volquez
I would have to think he is near the top of the list. He has pitched a lot better as the season went along and has allowed only 13 hits in 24 innings in Triple A. His control is still a bit of a problem, as he has walked 13 also, but he was a lot better tonight, when he walked two in six innings with nine strikeouts.

huh
Kind of surprised we aren't seeing Volquez here. I guess they have their play re: Edinson and are sticking to it. Not that I disapprove.
But that river of tears has dried for all of us.

I have to think that we're
getting pretty close to it. I think you're right, though, that they're just sticking with the original plan.

WTF
Kam is going on the DL? How in the hell did this come about? I didn't know anything about this

Now two of my favorite starting pitchers are on the DL (Chris Young and Kameron Loe)

I need a serious drink right now

I'm at the point of just saying
fuck all this Rangers shit.

I'm rather depressed right now.

I'LL SECOND THAT...
...outside of McCarthy's start in Cleveland this week, the starting pitchers haven't given us a chance to win.

... and nobody's hitting consistantly...

... it's just gonna be a whole lot of sucking for a very... very... very... long time...

Volquez
I'd kind of like to see how people think he'll do when he gets called up.  Personally, I think he looks great when throwing, but if he can't hit the zone early he's going to be in trouble...I think he'll succeed ultimately, just not sure if it'll be this year
