Wash
thats just one of the reasons wash sucks........
its too bad..I love Wash's upbeat attitude and positivity, but he sucks at lineups, bullpen management, and anything else that happens between the first pitch and the last pitch of a game.
I think he makes the perfect coach, unfortunately we made him a manager.

bullpen management
early on in the season i was complaining all the time but lately i cant really remember objecting to many (or any really) of his moves.
you disagree?
lineup stuff and giving some players too much playing time and such though.. yeah.. not too happy with that. though its not like he has had a fully healthy team all year long.
im not sold on wash long term, but I think hes done well enough that I dont think he needs to be fired in the offseason or anything. im fine with seeing how things progress next year.
and yeah even if we do end up getting rid of him, ill still like him. good guy.
the pen
but i cant wait for the outrage when Jack Benoit comes out of the pen tonight for a save and gives it up
wash keeps insisting that CJ is not the closer, and that Jack will get his shot.
I agree he should not be fired....Ive even posted that he should get another year added to his deal. Seems inconsistent to bring up a bunch of kids(hopefully more to come next year) and then expect the mgr not to play the vets if he's working on a short term contract and feels like he's got to win to keep his job. He should get another year on his deal.
Hopefully then Wash would feel free to set Wilky and Sosa on their respective asses.
Of course if JD was the GM we all want him to be he DFA those spares and take those cards out of Wash's hands.

The Ranger Killer
I feel much better about Vlad being a Ranger Killer...not so much Mark freaking Ellis
Yay Botts.
that was onle time i wish salty hadnt been patient
heh kason sounds like hed like to be back in
not that i blame him, great place to play im sure.
and this just in: millwood is still pitching poorly.
He should at least recognize

gabbard
he then said he wasn't trying to say that can't happen with the rangers, they just need to win, etc.
also mentioned how he still checks the redsox standings because he has some good friends there.
overall nothing bad, he was just honest.
keep in mind
thanks
I am sad to see him in a Braves uniform but he seems like a brat that always gets his way. I'll get over it.
Millwood
You know since we are out of contention
Just get Jim Knox absolutely hammered, and make him go talk to attractive wives and small children.

Knoxy
One night last summer we were sitting in the Platinum Club (or whatever the Gold Club is now called, the one behind home plate) during the game because it was so freaking hot, and Knox was working on a couple of beers. He would walk through that area every several minutes and grab a few drinks each time. Went on all night.
A couple of beers aren't going to do anything to him of course, but who drinks like that while working on TV?

If he's always like that
wish that botts hard hit bouncer had gotten throug
but botts did get a rbi on soft grounder earlier so i guess it equals out.
i hope

Well, how about that?
Sure didn't see that coming earlier in the game.
well, got to give millwood credit
hopefully we can score here and get him a victory.
wish CJ hadnt pitched like 3.1 innings the past 2 days, i want another BGL save.
By the time i had looked at the tv screen
ouch.
top of the order next time though.
How do you
6 career HR.
Terrible.

Murray
Also, I am not sure what has happened to Littleton but he has been terrible this year. I guess it is all related to him not throwing strikes, although I would still rather see him than Feldman.
Littleton has been terrible?
Those are very decent numbers for a young reliever in just 24 IP (league average is 4.07 or so), especially when you consider the fact that hes been shuttling between here and OKC and not getting steady appearances until recently.
Just wondering if you are the type of person who thinks Fx2 has had a good year: 4.80 ERA and 1.49 WHIP.

Littleton
Ok
Frankie saved him in that inning, surely Littleton has helped others at times too. Did it impress you when Frankie gave up 3 runs in the subsequent inning?
by inactive lsb user on Aug 8, 2007 10:15 PM CDT up reply actions
Frankie
I keep bringing him up
This is the first I've seen a LSBer take issue with Littleton's performance. But nobody has been ripping Fx2 to shreds. If Littleton has been terrible, how bad has Frankie been for you?
The reason I brought it up is because they happen to be RHP's out of our bullpen, and Fx2 has not been sent down once this year, even though he has struggled a lot more than Littleton on the YEAR. Littleton has only struggled recently. That's all.
by inactive lsb user on Aug 8, 2007 10:38 PM CDT up reply actions
Frankie
Because if push came to shove
He should not be having as bad of a year as he is, and, I realize that he could easily bounce back next year. Of course, everyone thinks he has a higher ceiling and better stuff (not a closer, IMHO), which is why he has not been sent down.
I don't care if Littleton doesn't have Francisco's stuff. I like people that are good at getting outs.

First, you don't evaluate offensive players by their RBI's as we've seen with Slammy, Pedro Feliz, et al.
Then, in a true moment of homerism, they go on to expose themselves by saying, "Hahaha. Talk about consistency!"
I feel sorry for those of you who had to grow up listening to these hacks.

This is really the first time all year
hopefully he can tie this game up.. or more. 0-2 though.
Great jinx!

by Jukebox Joe on Aug 8, 2007 10:14 PM CDT up reply actions
yeh true.. he needs to do a lit'l mop up work..
for a bit like Buck did with Benoit ..until he gets it together..Scott "punches like a girl"
Feldman is a disater waiting to happen..I don't see him ever getting it together unfortunately..although he wasnt nearly as bad last year...

Botts
Just got in
Then Josh Lewin totally spoils the view by announcing it's a hard hit ball to left field. On a flyball to right.
I gotta ask Josh what his real day job is.

Well Wes
