Incorrectamundo
What I found odd was the fact that his "bodyguard" was shot down in 2005. Why does a 300 pound NFL lineman need a bodyguard? Dude must have some meanmugging enemies...

Harris
Johnson graded out very well last year, even when Harris was on the sideline in street clothes.

I do find it amusing
It's all about the talent...LOL.
Or that, the defense has been weaker than the offense, and we have been pouring draft picks into the defense and ignoring the offense the last several years..again just proves "talent" means nothing.
I only see three above average skill players on the Cowboy offense. Owens, Romo and Witten. Glenn is not good, Barber and Jones are not good.
Barber gets yards but, that's just because he gets the ball and somebody has to do it. He's slow.
Maybe we will get a real running back one of these days. It'll be nice.

Oh and the backup recievers
Of course it doesn't matter, as the explosive offense playcalled by Garrett attests.

might that be a reason too?

Talent and draft pick
Do not equate high draft pick status with talent. Just because a team thinks your talented enough to be drafted highly, doesn't mean you are. Case in point Brady was a second day draft pick and Grossman was a first rounder. Are you seriously telling me that Grossman is more talented then Brady because he was a first round draft pick? I think not.

Wait a minute Brian Thomas
Oh yeah you are, LOL.
Derek the Red: Draft picks obviously dont mean talent!
Brian Thomas: Draft picks obviously mean talent! My first rounders are gonna kill your 6th rounders every time!
Zywica: Oh you guys! Stop owning sharky so much LOL!
But look, I'm just trying to make this specific point. We kept hearing that, because Terrence Newman was out, the Giants lit us up. But, this was an after the fact sort of statement. Because, Terry Glenn was missing from the offense, the offense lit it up, but nobody really talked about hey, missing Terry Glenn didn't mean a damn thing! But if the offense had sucked and the defense held NY scoreless, people would have been saying "Oh that Terry Glenn! He's so important! He's the key to the team!" AFTER the fact as always..
And sharky woulda been rolling his eyes.
And missing Terrence Newman, probably doesn't mean all that much either.
And misding Greg Ellis, just means less than nothing! Jeez, I'm so sick of hearing about that guy...

picks
I never said draft picks don't mean talent. Just that draft picks don't necessarily mean talent. Generally speaking the higher a player is drafted the better he is. However, there is no way to quantify talent and as such mistakes get made. A mistake can never be caught until years later when a performance doesn't match up with a player's perceived talent.
The reason the Cowboy's offense lit it up without Glenn and the defense struggled without Newman is because they have more depth at wide receiver then cornerback. In other words, the drop off in talent between a starting wide receiver to a back up isn't that great, but the drop off between a starting corner and a backup is.
Talent matters even in backups. Having talented backups means the team doesn't fall apart after an injury like has happened in the past. Remember when Flozell went down a couple years ago or Ellis last year? The season was over pretty much after that since we had no reliable LT or OLB backup.

Oh ok
So you're saying, there is no objective measure of talent, besides what you say? And this judgement, can only be made after the fact?
And you're also saying, after playing four years of college, the NFL scouts cannot tell talented players from untalented ones either? So sometimes, in fact oftentimes, they draft the "wrong" ones?
I own you guys so easily on this every day, it's hilarious your nonsensical responses..
OK, if we're not equating a high draft pick with talent, what are we equating it with?
The fact is, all you want to do, is constantly fit the facts in with your theory AFTER THE FACT. I'm tired of it.
Leonard Davis sucked. But now that the Cowboys are 2-0, he's great. That's the easiest prediction in football. Somehow, you guys think this is just coincidence though. Even though, you all said he sucked two weeks ago. You forgot, though, because now clearly he's an all star, and you cant remember what you said two weeks ago, and I'm the unreasonable one.
Not one of you had a damn clue what would happen this season based on "talent". In fact most of you thought the Cowbnoys would suck and be 5-11. Of course you'll lie now and say no, no, you knew we had a lot of potential!
Talent..what a joke..The Lions had a lot of telent..sucked, same talent now 2-0. All those first round recievers did JACK. N9ow they're doing something..I guess they're talented again.
Amazing. Joey Galloway was a bum with the Cowboys. Somehow he became talented again with the Bucs. This talent is truly an amazing thing. It just turns off and on with the flick of a switch!

Raiders -- Title bound?
They have Lane Kiffin! He was the OC at USC where he worked with no talent and created one of the most explosive offenses in college football!
He must be a great coach! They will win! Their OC, Tom Walsh, is probably good because through osmosis he can glean secret offensive strategies from Kiffin, who is better than Mike Martz, the best OC ever, who has been in Detroit for a couple years now!
Prediction for the record, so that you can't distort it later, Shark: Raiders - Browns in Super Bowl XLII !!!!

Well
By the way, weren't the Raiders the worst team ever last season?
How come now I already hear "Well the Raiders offense is actually showing signs of life this season!" From the pundits.
Gee that was pretty predictable..sharky might have expected something like that.. maybe cus they have a new OC?
Miles tried to tell me oh no, Jamarcus Russell doesn't wanna go the Raiders, they're so bad, they're worse than an expansion team. At that time I commented, like last season really matters..they have a new OC. They migh not be that bad, Miles.
The concept of "awful" is meaningless in the NFL if you get a new OC the next season..
So your example just once again skewers you.

More
Gee, that's pretty impressive loss for such a moribund team. Almost like, they have all new talent from last year..except they dont of course.
Walsh was the OC LAST year btw, not this year..and one of the worst in the NFL this side of Maurice Carthon. He was like 75..and running a bed and breakfast, and a failure Art Shell's first time around LOL.
This year Greg Knapp is listed as the OC, but I dont know if he or Kiffen actually calls plays anyway.
Knapp is a competent if uninspiring OC from what I can recall about him from a few years floating around the league..kinda like John Shoop...or pretty much the way I would have Gary Kubiak and Sean Payton pegged.
