9/29 College Football
Today has been interesting so far. Notre Dame started off with another loss, which makes me happy.
On to the games that actually matter.
Oklahoma loses to a not real good Colorado team. Bradford goes 8/19 for 112 yards, one TD and two picks. This is why three weeks ago I said I wanted to see what Bradford did later in the season before anointing him the greatest QB in the country. He clearly is a talented QB, but he is not the second coming of Joe Montana, at least not yet. I know his receivers didn't help him a lot with the dropped passes, but he didn't make many plays today.
Texas is once again showing that we have big deficiencies in the coaching department. The defense can't tackle, takes horrible angles and can't cover anyone. The offense has a lot of talent, but runs the same four plays over and over again. Of course the fact McCoy keeps throwing picks (although the first one was a great play by the DL and the second one was not really Colt's fault) doesn't help much either. I don't think KSU is fast enough on defense to stop a three headed rushing attack of Chiles, McGee and Charles, which is what we may see in the second half if McCoy can't come back. Even if Texas comes back and wins, I still think we get hammered by OU next week. OU is going to be pissed and Texas hasn't shown they can play a complete game this year.
A&M also showed that Franchione selling information to boosters wasn't much of a distraction, that or maybe Baylor is just horrible.

I can't believe OK lost. Despite playing some pretty weak opponents they clearly looked like a good team (again, I'm hardly a keen observer of college football). t.u. has looked beatable and may well lose to Kansas State today. So just how good is the Big 12 this year?
OU lost
Texas sucks, struggling again.
Lot of undefeated teams either getting knocked off or going to because two undefeated's play each other. I think there was like 17 undefeateds last week, and at least 5 are gonna lose today.
Miami wins lackluster 24-14, maybe we can crack top 25 this week. Were 27 last week.
There seems to be a lot more parity
Just looking at Miami, we have all that talent but we struggle for a lot of our wins. Playing a 1-4 team doesn't matter, the game is a battle.
Special Teams
Four picks for Colt

Texas and OU both played horrible

Dealer's Choice...
Or:
McCoy was 19-of-39 for 200 yards, one TD and four picks (plus one jammed shoulder and one concussion).

Wow, those teasips got Tea Bagged, huh?
No, I'm not a Sooner fan. But damn, u.t. was outplayed in every phase of the game by KSU!

WTF
I was comparing the two longtime-rival programs' QB's performance.
Mebbe I should stick to low end prime number addition, or coloring books? I don't want to confuse...

Unless you're Vince Young
A one word summation: PREDICTABLE.

What amazes me
Greg Davis Playbook
Zone read (with a slow, white QB)
Swing pass to RB
Screen Pass to RB
WR Screen
Quick slant
Five yard pass to TE
If anyone else can think of another play, you have a better memory than me.
Offense
the offense they run is not taking advantage of colt mccoys skills, and honestly i believe colt may very well have been more seriously injured last season than we may think
McCoy
yeah

Nope
Also, while McCoy hasn't been good this year, the larger problem is Greg Davis. Until he is gone, or we recruit another Vince Young (and I don't just mean a black QB, I mean a player so dominant that no one can stop him) we will continue to have a crappy offense.
Sort of similar
