Rick Ankiel: wao!
2 more homers, and a double...7 RBI.
He now has 9 homers, 29 RBI and 358 AVE
What you think about his comeback, that is unusual.. I heared the last time something similar happens was with Babe Ruth.
With one month an a half can he be the National League comeback player of the year or the last how many years, who knows?

when he came up
may still happen, but his first month or 6 weeks or whatever has probably been a better stretch then a lot of people thought he would ever have in his career.
great to see.
AND
7 more homers in a dozen fewer AB's lol
Comeback Player of the Year
But the question in my mind is the definition of "comeback". That word implies that a player had to be at some level and return to that level. In the case of Carlos Pena, he hasn't really been at a decent level, so it is hard to say that he has "comeback". "Breakout Player of the Year" might be a better description. I think this would apply to Ankiel. His award might be "Human Interest Story Player of the Year".
As much as folks will hate to hear this, Sosa might be one of the best candidates for a true Comeback Player of the Year.
Well both were
I wonder if pitching doesnt work out for Main......and then he becomes an All-star OF......that'd be pretty cool
