Wednesday morning
Whittleman and Font are Evan Grant's numbers 18 an 19 prospects. That's about it this morning...

The money quote
In addition to Guardado, the Rangers are expected to officially add Fukumori to the 40-man roster this week. That will require them to make two roster moves to take two players off.
I was hoping Guardado would be a non-roster deal, but, yeah, he's lefthanded and can pitch a baseball.
I'm alright with it. I like the player.
Wonder if Cruz/Botts is on waivers this week...
Actually, wonder if that's what's holding things up with Eddie...

Who goes?
Guardado is a lefty so their is no need for White. I don't think they will give up on any of the pitchers. Some players on the 40 man roster have options left. Can they just option someone? Does Metcalf have any options left?
watch him become a hafner......
I'm wondering if ...
Options
If it didn't work that way, this would be a no-brainer. We'd option Travis Metcalf. He was added to the 40 a year too early because of the Blalock injury. Now, he's "stuck" on the 40. Attempt to remove him, and you expose him to other teams picking him up.

South Africa
I must say that I loved this piece in the Annual. I was particularly intrigued by Jonathan's thought that baseball in South Africa is something to watch. I have lived in SA for most of the past 2 years (through the inaugual WBC too) and have yet to see a single diamond let alone anyone even playing baseball. To be fair I am not at all keyed into the game here and there may well be a thriving grass roots organisation but there is another bat and ball spot that takes up far more attention. Cricket.
Evan has Johnny way to low
recalculate that Mr. Grant.
Oh btw, Evan. My wife was so excited them Dawgs won the Sugar Bowl. I know you were happy too :)
